Dermelect Resort 2013 Nail Collection: Moon Kissed

Dermelect Moon Kissed (3 coats)

Oh man, it's so hard to get back in the hang of things after 4 days off! I was definitely not as productive as I wanted to be today. Oh well, baby steps and all that.

I have a new polish from the upcoming Dermelect Resort 2013 collection called Moon Kissed. This collection contains 3 new colors including Lust Struck and All the Envy. If you can remember back, I was really impressed with the release of Dermelect polishes a few months back. The formula was incredible, so how did Moon Kissed fare? Well, it was pretty good, but not quite as good as the previous polishes. I find that white polishes can be a bit of a pain to apply sometimes, so I thought Moon Kissed would be a good one to test. While the application was just fine, it needed 3 coats instead of the usual 2 for the Dermelect polishes. Other than that, everything was great. I ended up wearing this a few days and it really wore well. Overall, I really like Dermelect polishes, and you can purchase these on their website here for $14 each (ouch, I know).

Ouch is right. I try to keep most of my polish buys to that $8 and less range..but that said, I pop for a gotta have shade in the mid teens and even a rare time have bought a 'everyone is talking about and going nuts over' Chanel in the $20 range - but when Chanel went up to I think it's $28 now...well that's just insane to me. Agree - the polishes that have a lot of white in them are often hard to apply. This one has not only a lot of white but that silver frost in it too - double hard to get it on and look OK. Not thrilled over this shade - it looks good on you and it's clean and nice for this time of yr when many things tend to get all about dark/vampy or over the top holiday colors. Will be interested to see the other 2 shades from this company you got me all excited about!
