Zoya Holiday 2012 Ornate Collection: Storm

Zoya Storm (2 coats)

Happy Friday! Since I don't have to go back to work yet, I've been enjoying the plethora of judge shows at home (ex. Judge Judy, Judge Alex, etc.). I know, it's a guilty pleasure of mine! Let me know what your guilty pleasure is.

Zoya Storm doesn't seem like a holiday color, but that didn't stop me from snatching it up. It's a black color with a sprinkling of scattered holographic glitter. It definitely has less of a holo finish than Aurora, but it still looks beautiful. I'm not a huge fan of straight black polishes; I always want there to be a different finish, and Storm fits that bill perfectly. It was extremely opaque and only needed 2 coats to be opaque. Love it!

I love this color!! I think it's probably my favorite from the Ornate collection.

Lots of folks seem to have gone nuts over this shade. I picked it up at the 'wig shop' inside the hospital were I go for doc evals and treatment for all of $5..it's a not for profit so they sell things for only a small margin. I had not bought this shade when I put in my only Zoya order of this yr...I thought - nope I have been so let down by so many blacks that have 'stuff' in them that does not show up on the nail...not getting it. Then the photos started to show up of this one. I agree, not as much holo in it as in Aurora. I also cannot wear plain black creams. They have to have something going on with stuff in them or an over-lay or a reddish/black, blue/black so on. I cannot say this is fabulous in my book. It's OK but I wonder if my bottle is a little flat maybe as so many photos I have seen show this one as gleaming. I think mine is fine and it's more folks showing it have set their lighting so the flash picks up all kinds of rainbow that this one really does not give off. Still surprised I got this at the hospital gift store where they have maybe a total of 7 polish shades ever!
