Sally Hansen HD High Definition: DVD

Sally Hansen DVD (3 coats)

I have a love/hate relationship with Sally Hansen. While I do like some of their polishes, especially since they are often readily available at drugstores (ok, don't get me started how angry it makes me how often they change their bottles and discontinue things), most of their prices are getting outrageous. The Xtreme wears are still inexpensive, but if you buy polishes from the HD or Salon collections, expect to pay from $5-8. Sometimes they are worth it, sometimes they aren't. Up today is the polish called DVD. Doesn't this remind you a bit of Rescue Beauty Lounge's Scrangie polish? Sure, it's not exactly a dupe, but if you don't want to pay the $18 price tag, I think this one definitely would do. It is a purple and blue shimmer or glitter polish and it is just gorgeous. The application was a bit of a pain since it was pretty runny and it could have used at least 4 coats, even though I just did 3 for the swatches.

I agree, Sally Hansens prices are out of control, especially since most of her polishes require 3 coats .

I have this polish and I think it is a pretty color, but I regret paying 6.49 for it.

The color is kinda close to Scrangie, but DVD has far more glitter and shimmer than Scrangie.
