Essie Spring 2011: Sand Tropez

Essie Sand Tropez (2 coats)

Wow, I've slept so much the last couple days. After getting home from work at 8 last night, I went to take a nap and ended up sleeping until 11 this morning. I know! When I woke up I watched some of my favorite shows Say Yes to the Dress and My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. It's amazing how different my life is compared to the traveling gypsies! Anyone watching this show?

Essie's Sand Tropez is one of those nice neutral (or nude) polishes. It is a beige/taupe creme that I found to work alright with my skintone. That's one of my issues with these types of polishes. The first coat on this one was pretty crappy and streaky, but the second ended up giving me full coverage. I dunno, I like this one enough, but I'm not completely blown away either.

I LOVE this shade out of this collection. It's fresh considering all the nudes and taupes we have seen in the last 2 years. I did not originally get the other nude in this collection, Barefoot & Topless thinking from the bottle it would be too light - NOT - I then had a hard time finding it because it was pretty much the top seller in the collection, plus most drugstores did not get the display that had Barefoot & Topless in it for some odd reason.

I have had a ton of fun with this one since it came out...and Barefoot & Topless was goners ASAP from this collection - so I made do with this one. Very similar looking to the far more expensive Deb. Lippmann Naked from this spring/summer collection. But now I finally have 2 bottles of Barefoot & Topless - both in this collection have their major good places in any collection. Nudes with oomph...and not chalky at all.
