Petites Color Fever: Raspberry Ice

Petites Raspberry Ice (2 coats)

Happy Hump Day! How are things? Things have been really busy at work due to the shortened work week. Other than that, not much else is going on.

I honestly haven't tried many Petite brand polishes, and the Petite Color Fever line is completely new to me, but I'm liking it so far. The Petite line is associated with the CQ line of polishes in case you didn't know. Raspberry Ice is a bright fuchsia shimmer that looks gorgeous on the nail. It barely needed 2 coats, and if you're really careful, you may just need 1. Yup, the formula was really stellar, especially for an inexpensive drugstore brand. You can find these at your local Rite Aid store, and maybe Walmart (I'm not 100% sure about the Color Fever brand, but definitely the regular Petite colors). Also, it seems that these are sold on their website for $4 with free shipping in the US.

I never see either the Peties or the CQ line at Walgreens where I live - only see it at Rite Aides - but my area is not known for steller availability for polish brands or supply of all the collections from brands they carry. It's really hit/miss on what we get. I have looked at this one shade in my Rite Aide but never bought it home. Maybe if I did not have a bunch of em that look like this one, I would have brought it home...I am a huge big fan of fuchsias and magentas. I think I stopped picking all of 'em up when I found I would reach only for specific ones to fill my eyeball need for this shade. I tend to really love ones with either a blue shift or a tish more purple...but seeing this one now and knowing it's right down town here, I probably will pick it up next time I am in the local drug store. Some of my all time favs in this hue are OPI Let Me Entertain You, OPI Flashbulb Fuchsia (really not like this at all but I love, love it). I have a # of Essies that hit the color mark here but lack the glass fleck this one has. I have a couple Zoyas that hit the color and glass fleck here as a match but are really sheer and take tons of coats to get to opaque. China Glaze has one - thinking it's name is 108 Degrees in the Shade. If I ever get my stash arranged by color I would be oh so happy! I might find things far easier!
