Julep December It Girl Maven Box: Ivy

Julep Ivy (2 coats)

Ugh, snow tonight! Being a displaced northerner, it's awesome to see how people in the South cannot deal with inclement weather.

I was actually pretty happy with December's It Girl Box which is a surprise since I've been a bit disappointed with the boxes lately. Up first is Ivy which is blue and purple duochrome metallic shimmer which looks gorgeous. I was worried it would be sheer, but it was fully opaque with 2 coats.

Knew you would get it - we had blast o winter hit here for a week - I loved it...hail and some snow that fell but melted as it hit darn it - it always is a novel thing when we get snow on the beach here - we always have it a few times most winters on the local mts and in a couple little towns on the other side of those mts. It's really odd here now - down to the low 30's at night and now today going to be 73 'they say.' I am so mixed up I already made my list of what clothing to pack for my 'trip' to LA for the next month or so surg and chemo and all and now I need to change out stuff 'cause I burn up down there when they get 70's and 80's. But then I will be at the base of the San Gabriel Mts and it can get cold there. I so am not into packing up and draging a ton of stuff that I know I have to take and not like I will feel up to going to a store to pick up what I forget. I like this shade but I like blues - not all that unique - and I have others I like better that look like this only better like ChG Blue Years Eve which many say is just the same as Drinking Your Blues Away - wonder why I bought 3 bottles of each! Duh I like DYBA so of course I loved BYE when I saw it. I never got into the Julep thing. Not a fan now days of box things and subscription this and that. Guess I burned out on book clubs and CD clubs back in the day.
